APM Paint is operated by two airline pilots and military veterans who understand aviation from the inside — not from a boardroom. Every aircraft that leaves the shop has been evaluated the way a pilot would evaluate it: as a machine that has to fly.
Four principles that drive every decision at APM Paint — from how we schedule projects to how we communicate with customers.
Approximately six weeks is not a sales line — it is a real timeline built around an efficient, repeatable process. Here is what each stage involves.
Both founders are airline pilots and military veterans. APM Paint reflects the operational standards they bring from careers built on precision, accountability, and the understanding that airplanes exist to fly.
APM Paint is operated day-to-day by a lead painter with 40 years of experience in aircraft finishing. The founders set the standards and the schedule — the craftsmanship comes from someone who has been doing this work for longer than most aircraft on the ramp have been flying.
APM Paint operates at Tanglewood Airport (TS85) in Pottsboro, Texas, north of Dallas near Lake Texoma. Aircraft can be flown directly to TS85 or trailered in by appointment.
